Saturday things that squicked me

1). The 'vomit ice cube' in DR WHO (also the alien - God, that was unpleasant. And it reminded me of something. Any thoughts?)*

2). The squashed spider between the nice clean pages of my new library book.

*I don;t know why it was such a shock to see Tamsin Grieg suddenly appearing, either. She is an actress, after all.
