It was rather wet last night, so we went into town to cash up and sort out the shops (Samhain is one of our busiest days), then went for a drink in the George and Pilgrims, where the long-suffering bar staff were kitted out in basques and stripy tights. The pub didn't have a party, but most people were in costume all the same (lots of witches!). Then we went round the corner to the Hawthorns, which does an excellent global ethnic menu, for want of a better word, and had dinner - traditional Hallowe'en fare consists of things like turnip mash, and er...Anyway, T had a Korean dish and I had a Thai one.
Today dawned with a magnificent pink and gold sunrise. We have to go to Clevedon later to sort out M's estate - we've already got some of the stock, and alas, the garlic oil has escaped. T, myself, the dogs and T's PA are now remarkably pungent and not in a good way. Apologies to anyone we meet.
