I just finished PD myself and enjoyed it very much. One question though: why is the lowest level of Hell full of basically decent folk? One would think it would contain the worst sociopaths, those completely unable to function even in demon society.

I visited one of the two(!) fabulous SF bookstores in Minneapolis today, only to find much to my disappointment that they didn't have any copies of Demon... to be had.

Have read all the Inspector Chen books to date. I really enjoyed Precious Dragon. However, there is one thing I would like to know. What is the reason or the significance of the reversed feet or a reversed face on a demon? I have looked on the internet and can not find an explanation for this if anyone has an idea I would sure like to know.
