After innumerable phone calls, a woman turned up shortly before I was expecting people for dinner to say that she found our missing dog prancing down the road last night ahead of a string of 12 cars. She took her to the police station and Mojo is now enjoying the hospitality of Her Majesty's kennels, at £40 a night, sigh.

Reincarnation of a drum majorette, obviously.

I don't suppose the dog will offer to pay?

Glad nothing worse happened.

I'm thinking of making her take a Saturday job.

This won't be a permanent mark on her record, will it? She won't be forced to register at the police station on her travels? She'll still be able to vote in the elections, right?

;-)

At least your lost one is found, and is safely incarcerated someplace. One hopes she will decide to prance closer to home in the future, and leave the cars to their own devices.

at least she is OK!

sounds more like a teenager than a dog, though. too bad you can't make her pay the fine out of her pocket money.

Good to hear she's back.

We used to have basset hounds. We were searching for Otis one night when the police station said they had a dog in the cells but they didn't know what it was. We went down to find an unclipped standard poodle.

She is exactly like a teenager. I keep expecting her to lock herself in her room and play Nirvana really loudly. She flops about, sighing loudly ("You're all so BOOOORRRINGGG!")

At least we know where she is. Thanks for your good wishes!
