I notice that there are quite a few new people who have friended this LJ. You are most welcome, and please feel free to introduce yourselves/ask me questions if you so wish.

And thank you for taking an interest!

Heh! I've pimped him in the past so it's only fair.

Hi. I'm Irish, and a student, and I'm here because. Um. You say interesting things?

Thank you! I occasionally say interesting things (IMO, anyway!) but with a lot of very weird stuff in between...

I have exactly the same excuse.

Also: You say things that make me giggle.

I confess to being intrigued by how long it will take me to stop getting confused every time I see your name. (My sister, [livejournal.com profile] lizw, is also a Liz Williams in England.) I figured flisting your journal was the best way of building up my mental immune system.

(Well, and I also "collect" the journals of F&SF authors, being one myself. But once I noticed the name similarity that became rather secondary.)

There are a lot of Liz Ws around, including one who is a porn model (NOT your sister, I hasten to add). I've toyed with the idea of asking her to stand in for me at conventions: she has waist-length blonde hair and wears leather thongs.

There is also a Liz W who is health adviser to part of the Inuit nation.

Our name is legion.

I would be surprised if my sister were a pornographer, but only because she has so many other things already on her plate. *)

Nathan here, though online I go mostly by Mastadge. I first started reading your LJ back when Karen Traviss started hers and I found yours through a comment you left; I only started an LJ of my own recently, so finally got around to adding you to the friends list. I own all your books that have been published, but haven't yet read the latest couple.

We've 'met' online in a number of places, I think - your user name is very familiar.

Hiya. I probably don't need an intro, but just in case -- I know you from DS9 fandom....

Yes, we've met in a number of places too and indeed you need no intro! :-)

My hope is that by carefully observing your behavior, I will be able to lay an ambush which will give me the opportunity to eat your brain and thus gain your writing skills.

MWAHAHAHA! Many have made the same mistake....

Seriously, you're very welcome. Unfortunately, my behaviour is so random that it has baffled even seasoned psychologists. Just as [personal profile] klingonguy.

It's surprising how many people contrive to display a flaw in their CNS shortly after I introduce myself...

I'm supposed to be appalled at the notion of a Klingon psychologist, right? ("Phrenology is not read-only!")

No, Klingon psychology is a well-respected field.

>It's surprising how many people contrive to display a flaw in their CNS shortly after I introduce myself...

Good thing I wasn't eating anything just then because this made me laugh!

>No, Klingon psychology is a well-respected field.

Well, sure. I wouldn't disrespect a Klingon psychologist!

>Good thing I wasn't eating anything just then because this made me laugh!

I'll work on my timing.

Hello there...'pimped'(is that the correct expression? Sounds weird) you from Claire Weaver and my boyf' Neil's (sirboodle) FLs... so that explains where I found your actual LJ from, but you will know me from Immanion and Visionary Tongue, where I chop words, and of course Newcon!
Thought it was only polite I said hello after goggling your blog for a while.. so, hello!

I was on the Keltiad list many years ago with you and have been reading your stuff since your first book came out. So just call me as a big fan of your stuff.

I'd been reading your LJ via my friend [livejournal.com profile] arcaedia's friends list, as well as some fine comments from you on various LJs, so when [livejournal.com profile] jaylake suggested that people friend you, I....umm.....did.

Not that he exerts evil mind control powers over me or anything like that.

A lot of people like to think that about Jay...it's those shirts. He gets into your head while you're temporarily dazed.

Got pointed here by [livejournal.com profile] jaylake. And of course I read your sff.net newsgroup; I posted there once when I found one of your books in the supermarket, of all places. So hi! (And I shall go back to lurking.)

You are most welcome to lurk or contribute, whatever you like! :-)

I am delighted to find that I'm sold in supermarkets - really, it's one of the best places to make sales.

Hi! We've met briefly a couple of times at cons and I've read all of your books published so far (faves Ghost Sister and Banner of Souls), including the import short story collection.

My best beloved, [livejournal.com profile] pennski has reviewed two or three of your books for Vector.

We were on a panel on _ummm?_ stuff at Worldcon, Ken Mc was there too, I'm sure I remember a packed room and people listening to us...

Anyway, somebody told me you had an LJ and it is an interesting read.

Hi!

Yes, I remember! Although much of Worldcon is a blur...Welcome to the LJ.
