Nature notes I threw the German Shepherd out of the study this morning, at which point the small, shy tortoiseshell cat clearly thought to herself 'RIGHT! If the Human doesn't like you...!' And then she flew at his retreating back and clawed his tail. He looked very aggrieved but he's afraid of cats, so he didn't retaliate...

Weird fact of the day: Crusaders ate frankincense as part of their rations. Apparently it's highly nutritious. We have loads of it, so no more vitamins for me!
