More controversy
May. 13th, 2005 12:38 pmR has reminded me of another stage in manufacturing controversy: the made-up letter. He says that when he was a student in Ireland in the 70s, he and his household spent a worrying amount of time making up ranting letters for the Cork Examiner ("There was none of this sex in Ireland before the Television came!!!" - Outraged Mother of Thirteen Children). Even more worrying, the Cork Examiner printed all of them. Perhaps no one else wrote in.
I plan to follow the same principles, so Locus had better keep their eyes peeled.

Weather whinging
May. 13th, 2005 07:59 pmThe Brits are supposed to talk about nothing but the weather, and here am I barely mentioning it. So this is your chance to have a right old whine about how foul/cold/windy/dark it is in Blighty at the moment, because Brighton seems to have plunged back into November and I've had to put the heating on. A friend is arriving in a bit but got delayed because she had to go into the attic and find her sweaters.

Perhaps 6? I tend to rent due to lack of space.

I can't remember.

Cinema: Can't remember. Think it might have been SIDEWAYS.
DVD: Can't remember....
VHS: Can't...you get the picture.

You know, I've been sitting here racking my brains and not much comes to mind. I love going to the cinema, I like watching films, but not all that much sticks in the forefront of my brain screen-wise.
