Technical help!

My Mac has decided that I'm not paying it enough to send messages with attachments or, indeed, to allow me to read them.

It gets as far as sending out for some little gif or other, and then freezes. It's freezing once or twice a day as it is. I use IE and it's MACOS 9. I've done some basic stuff and stripped out some plug-ins, but no computer joy has been resulting.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Work

One of those days when the phone never stops ringing. However, I have been at home for most of it, and apart from aforementioned computer problems, able to ratchet up the word count to this:

73,000 / 90,000 (81.0%)

I may or may not do a bit more tonight. I'd like to get up to 75K this week and go to the BSFA thing on Saturday with a clear conscience. Also, I need to do some reading about ravens - fjm very kindly bought me a book on raven lore last year, when KJ Bishop was visiting. So that awaits.

I have ordered a Powerbook - possibly too late for delivery tomorrow, but we'll see. Fingers crossed.
