It's a hard, bright autumn day with the sun going down over the Severn Sea and all the lights coming on in the High Street. We've had wonderful sunsets lately. I've spent the day in the shop and in Heaphy's cafe with hot chocolate and the laptop and got some work done in both directions.

If you'd been in the Magick Box yesterday, you'd have heard the following conversation between me and California: "No - we have one with a staff and no erection, and a sitting one with an erection and no staff. Yes, both of them have horns." This is the trouble when you sell Hernes.

We also went out to the local Chinese restaurant last night with friends and may, for reasons which will be explained in due course, be renting a decommissioned Saxon church. More later if developments occur.

I really needed a SNORT moment today. Thank you. :-)

Which church, as a matter of interest? They aren't common and they are very interesting (if you're an early insular mediaevalist, anyway).
I misread Hernes as Hermes, but the same might well apply, I suspect.

Oh, tell me you're going to set up a nightclub in the church. Please, make my day.

I'm sorry! It'll be for storage. Boring.

Oh, Herne statues you say. I thought you had been describing the people you saw on the High Street looking out the shop window.

Well, God knows, this is entirely feasible given Glastonbury....

Using a Saxon church for storage?

Oh wow, do you know we'd make pilgrimages to such a thing here. And I'm Jewish!
