The Witching Hour got booted off the air last night: streamers did not pick up. Grr argh! We don't know what the tech reason was yet, but one has to be philosophical about these things: it was bound to happen at some point so it's not a bad thing to have it happen early on.
Meanwhile, I set fire to the third thing by accident, and we celebrated Midwinter's Eve with candelight and by sweeping the house. Four new brooms arrived yesterday (the traditional witch's sort) and we nicked one for use at home. Seems we swept the radio show out at the same time.
Dawn saw freezing fog and a heavy frost which is still here - it's unlikely to lift now. So we did not make Stanton Drew, as neither of us fancied driving on icy moorland roads in a heavy mist after little sleep. We'll do something tonight, however, and we are going into Wells today to have lunch and generally chill out. Which won't be hard in this temperature.
Have a great shortest day!
