The end of the week....
Sep. 23rd, 2005 02:22 pmA busy week, too. All my worldly goods are in a storage unit, but I have - more or less - moved house, from Brighton to Somerset. After this chaos, I have been back to the writing today (somewhat slowly: 1400 words so far).
A snapshot of my day: Avalon actually was misty this morning, turning to Britain's default mode of pouring rain. I took my partner into town, as he's taken out the sump of his car on a shifting peat-based Sedgemoor road. The only people about on the High St were a bunch of travellers with a horse. On returning, I have made some vegetable soup (successful), some incense (not), done something with the blackberries I picked last night and have disposed of one dead mouse. From the dreadful eldritch cries coming from the garden just now, I suspect there will be a repeat of the last item very soon if Tortoiseshell 2 has her predatory way...
And HAPPY AUTUMN EQUINOX to all who celebrate such things. We did a short ritual in the orchard under skeins of stars and apples, visited by a small owl and several short-eared bats.
