One night in Elfland

We went to a gig last night - a band from Oregan, IIRC, called Woodland, supported by a local group called Daughters of Gaia. Both were pagan. I have to say that I'm not all that wild about specifically pagan music - it's a bit like Christian Rock and there's a reason for the fact that, when one or more Druids are gathered together, someone will invoke the sacred liturgy of the Blues - but this was perfectly OK and got us out of the house.
The nicest thing about it was that, on the poster, people were invited to dress up, and if there's one thing at which the residents of Glastonbury excel, it's dressing up and making a spectacle of themselves. So the dancefloor included someone in full-length green man costume, lots of winged sprites, a man with a four-foot butterfly attached to his shoulder blades and much else besides.
As we were waiting to get in, a woman behind us lost the top to a tube of glitter she was holding. There's only one way out...
Oddly, the girl who works in one of the bookshops and who always wears elf ears, didn't. Night off?
Also - and this is going to sound really pathetic - the Assembly Rooms bar serves cups of tea, which is great if you're either driving or just fancy a cup of tea (both, in my case).
Overheard at the bar: "I'm going to serve this woman behind you. You're being too slow and anyway, you're wearing lace."
