I am just gob-smacked that Britain seems to have produced a SF series that is actually some good. It's much more on the Red Dwarf/Farscape end of things.

This week, the Dr and Rose go off to the end of the world, where the rich are gathering to watch the Earth explode. I was extremely gratified to see that the Tardis now appears to be powered by a thing like a bicycle pump, moved vigorously in and out in an ever-so-slightly phallic way, or perhaps it's just me.
Also amused by the fact that Earth is the property of the National Trust, the destroying power of the sun being held back by force fields, except that the money's run out and they've decided to let it go.
Best line: "Earth Death is scheduled for 15.09, followed by drinks in the Manchester Suite."
Closely followed during the obligatory inter-species gift presentation by: "I bring the gift of various bodily salivas [HOICK! PTUI! SPLAT!]
And touched by the Dr altering Rose's cellphone so that she can ring her mum from 5 billion years in the future ("You think that's amazing - you should see the bill.")
All in all, good show, chaps.
