Writing group will be held this evening if the member who is in the hot seat does not die on the 50 miles of snow and ice between here and Brighton.

If he does die, he says, I can have his Tibetan prayer wheel.

Tomorrow is my own turn to chance it on the roads between here and the west. Plans for a quiet night in with a bottle of wine and a log fire have somehow morphed into a complex plan involving a trip to Torquay, a coven, and a travelling American band.

Then I will be going to Gloucester for yet more birthday celebrations, my own this time, to Oxfordshire, and then back.

Wish me luck.

(Having just had a conversation about LJ, I know who's reading this! ;-) )

The writing group has come up with a solution to Virginia Woolf's perennial issue of a Room of One's Own.

Travelodge are doing a £10 a night special offer. All we have to do, we've decided, is sell all our property and take over a Travelodge. OK, we might have to move around the country as the deal folds in some areas and opens in others. It's a small price to pay for our Art.
