I'd entirely forgotten (as you do) that I'd subscribed to it, and very nearly triggered on the huge Cc list and PDF and docx attachments and thought it was spam (spam with docx attachments with macro viruses seem to be the latest in thing or something). Mentioning that this was a Chen novel in the text of the email was a very very good decision!

I'm salivating now at the thought of more Chen... and cursing, because my local book club meets in a few days and I have to read _The Long Earth_ first. I clearly need to clone myself a few extra sets of eyes.


Again, thank you ever so very much for not allowing this series to die.

I'm sorry for being so vague! I had computer problems that scrambled all my organization of email etc.

But both my husband and I are great fans of your writing- especially the Chen- and I do not think I will EVER give him a better gift than the custom story you wrote for him in that universe! He was SO TOUCHED! and he still gets sniffly when he thinks of it. Brilliant, and I thank you for making this possible!
