The week....

... has been taken up with business meetings and work, mainly. All of it good stuff, but it takes up time. We escaped tonight and went for a walk on Burnham sands - long views across Exmoor, blue in the distance, and a choppy, wintry sea. I've been progressing slowly with the novel.

And have made more jam! Gooseberry, this time.

Among the things I miss most about living in England (Surrey, until age 10): gooseberry jam and greengage plums.

I bought some gooseberry and elderflower jam at an otherwise disappointing Farmers' Market this morning: they were offering tasters, which is a sneaky underhand trick.

Hello Ms Williams!
I'm sitting in a park in Northern California reading "Snake Agent". I read your author Bio and saw you had an Lj so I wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I'm enjoying it! I'm going to have a hard time focusing on the real life stuff I have to do untill I finish all three Chen books...:p

Thank you so much! I'm delighted you like the novel. It's always amazing to me that someone on the other side of the planet can be sitting reading something that came out of my imagination...!
