When the television talks back

I should be used to this information age, and yet....When the commentator on the racing channel asks who won the last race at 20.20 at Turf Paradise, and there is a brief flurry of typing from across the living room and the commentator looks up and says 'Oh, okay, Fierce Cat! Thanks, Trevor!' and your other half replies, 'You're welcome!' - it is possible to undergo a moment of extreme cognitive dissonance, somehow.

Brain and brain and brain. What is brain?

That is great! :-D I also appreciate the comment T made about the letterbox not being wide enough (previous entry). In the movie "The MatchMaker," one of the characters shows a chart of the perfect marriage, and it has sections for Love, Food, Sex, and Havin' a Laugh. I think that last one is more important than most people realize.

Having a laugh is crucial, in my book.

This new-fangled interactivity is quite amazing, so much more satisfying than, "Please send in your requests on a postcard." :)

There are a slew of Euro (Irish, British and one French) fillies in our big race at Hollywood Park today, the Miesque. Probably none of them will have been on such dry ground in their entire lives. I just hope none of them made the mistake of starting to grow their winter coats :)

We noticed that! Our two (shire and pony) have got the winter coat thing going big time and they need to - there was a severe frost yesterday.
